Fires rage
Flesh evaporates
In the summer haze
Winter moons dance
Silhouetting frozen people
On a summer’s day
A child plays
Birds watch
Summer melts
Yesterday’s histories
Deep in the forest
A twig protested
Spring has come
After a long winter
Birds have forgotten
Their songs
A bird sits at winter’s edge
Watching tomorrow freeze
The ground celebrates
The autumn leaves
The rains have
Wet the fireflies
I will see at light
Spring left early
The flowers
Looked confused
It’s hard to believe
You left before spring
A grey sky in autumn
He wore pink shoes
Golden footsteps
The autumn wind
Whistled a tune
A mother and child
Walked among the
Red chinar leaves
Sweetness flowed
(For Kashmir)
She touched him
Like the summer breeze
And left her
With a lifelong caress
